Also included is a card signed by Lady Bird Johnson and a letter explaining why she can't sign things since the death of her husband… Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Johnson was the First Lady of the United States from 1963 to 1969 as the wife of President Lyndon B. Johnson. She served as the second lady from 1961 to 1963 when her husband was vice president.

He later flew in the Space Shuttle Discovery when he was 77, making him the oldest astronaut to fly in space. Alan Shepard (1923-1998) was the first American astronaut in space (in 1961) and in 1971 became the fifth (and oldest) man to walk on the moon. James Benson "Jim" Irwin (1930-1991) was an American astronaut, aeronautical engineer, test pilot, and a United States Air Force pilot. He served as Lunar Module pilot for Apollo 15, the fourth human lunar landing. He was the 8th person to walk on the Moon and the first, and youngest, of those astronauts to die. Frank Frederick Borman II 1928-2023) was an American United States Air Force (USAF) colonel, aeronautical engineer, NASA astronaut, test pilot, and businessman. He was the commander of Apollo 8, the first mission to fly around the Moon, and together with crewmates Jim Lovell and William Anders, became the first of 24 humans to do so, for which he was awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor.

During one of the mission's lunar orbits, he took the iconic Earthrise photograph.

Wallace, George C., signature on two plate block of Sc. #1375. On June 11, 1963, George Wallace, the Governor of Alabama, in a symbolic attempt to keep his inaugural promise of "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever" and stop the desegregation of schools, stood at the door of the auditorium as if to block the entry of two African American students: Vivian Malone and James Hood. Wallace spoke further, but eventually moved, and Malone and Hood completed their registration. The incident brought Wallace into the national spotlight.
