1857, 3¢ Washington, rose, type I, an attractive plating study of 68 covers (Scott 25), plated by the original owner in pencil with additional notations. Most stamps are tied by North East town cancels and are addressed to a variety of domestic destinations, there is also a cameo cover and a cover with a Knapp lot label affixed, plus a few folded letters, generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping weight 1.8 lbs / 0.8 kilos. Scott $12,920.

Lindbergh" (Steve Hansen certificate), 1927 Post Office department Contract Air Mail Service from Springfield, Ill. January 29, 1927 (name of pilot: Lindbergh), plus 68 covers or cards, many flown by Lindbergh 1926-1928, some better cachets (Worden, Gorham), also picture postcards (Lindbergh and his mother, "The Spirit of St. Louis", etc.), West Indian Aerial Express Mail (Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba) covers, Panama, with inverted overprint, also British Guiana, Trinidad, Surinam plus others, Fine-Very Fine, interesting and valuable collection.
