Serbia, 1866-1920, a specialist's gold mine with rarities galore. Certainly, far and away the finest and most advanced collection of Serbia that we have had the pleasure to offer as a collection. Formed by a leading expert in this specialized area hundreds of mint and used stamps, multiples and covers are to be found carefully arranged on pages in a Springback album. A perfect collection to expand into a medal winning exhibit or to breakdown for resale material that is rarely seen or offered. It begins with a fantastic showing of the 1866 Coat of Arms first issues mint including the 1pa 3rd print with 7 singles (7y €3,500.), 2nd print with two full sheets and 9 singles in shades (7xb €5,280.), 4th print with 5 singles (7z €375.), a very rare 2pa First printing Mi8xa €3,000.) and 14 red brown issues (8xb €7,000.) followed by complete mint 1866 Prince Michael Vienna printing set (1-3 €3,500.) followed by used issues with combinations on pieces, then the 9½ perf mint sets with three in total and additional used and on cover, 1867 issues with 1pa singles and blocks mint, 2pa singles in shades mint and a scarce green brown shade as well as the "HAPF" error in a pair followed by imperfs including the rare 2pa buff, 1869 Milian issues including scarce perf varieties, mint multiples with a 1pa block of 12, scarce 20pa 12-9½ perf (Mi14ID €750.), more later printings both mint & used with shades, 1903 Coat of Arms overprint issues with Portrait essay and trial color proofs as well as issued multiples, 1914 K. Peter set with the scarce 3d mint, plus other issues in mint and additional used and some Postal History throughout. Condition is excellent with few faults and overall, well above the norm. A rare opportunity to acquire an intact collection of exceptional depth, freshness and with many rarities all intact.
