Lot 444 /o 1851-1926, a mostly used assortment of better values, 147 stamps, including 1851-57 imperforates 1¢ and 10¢ pair, 1857-61 perforated 3¢, 1861-67 issues (unchecked for possible better grills), Bank Notes to 30¢, some with interesting cancels, also mint with Columbians to $1 ($1 is without gum), Pan-Pacific to 10¢ (both colors); all on stock pages. The used have mostly nice cancels (some fancy), the unused range from o.g. with hinge remnant to without gum. There are occasional faults (thins, straight edges etc.). Centering ranges from Very Fine to V.G. A useful lot for the dealer or collector to pore through, with some wheat and some chaff. Scott $6,100+. Estimate $600 - 800. |
