Lote 108 1944-1947, WWII patriotic multicolor event covers with Fluegel cachets, designed by Ludwig W. Staehle, a total of 102 colorful covers commemorating a series of historic events. This is a fabulous find from an old-time dealer's stock, encompassing cancellations on 6/6/44 Invasion day to 7/6/1947 commemorating our Bicentennial; there is of course some duplication.
