Lote 11 Stephens, Alexander H., Vice-President of the Confederacy during the Civil War, served as a member of Congress 1873-1872, then was governor of Georgia until his death in 1883. Autograph on large piece dated 1879. Fine. The lot also contains a small note from Union General John H. Wilder: "Provost Marshall will permit M. Blair to remove two barrels of cider vinegar from the central depot". Estimate $100 - 150. |
