Lote 12![]() 1852, 1¢ blue type IV and two 1857 3¢ brownish carmine (Scott 9, 26A, U10), used in 1857 on an 1854 3¢ red Nesbitt entire, from Dedham, Mass. to Quebec, Canada. A faint oval "UNITED / STATES" exchange postmark can be seen below the 3¢; reverse bears a boldly struck "QUEBEC / SP 28 / 1857 / L.C." receiving postmark. Stamps with average margins and the reverse shows mounting stains, Fine to Very Fine overall, a nice mixed issue / multicolor franking. Scott $450+. Estimate $200 - 300. |
