Confederacy, 1862, 5¢ Jeff Davis, blue, Archer & Daly printing on thin De La Rue paper, "white tie" variety (Scott 7), strip of 4, positions 27-30 top right pane, position 30 showing the variety, o.g., 3rd stamp hinged, others never hinged including the variety, Fine to Very Fine, a striking printing error.

There is some history here. Patricia Kaufmann has written about this (and related issues), for which see Kelleher's Stamp Collector's Quarterly, Issue #16. It appears that this strip was taken by a Union soldier from a dead Confederate soldier at the battle of Gettysburg - along with other souvenirs.
