Italian Area, 1850's-1950's, a massive collection balance and misc. accumulation, in a Scott album + 2 stock books. The whole Italian Area is included: Italian States, Italy proper, Italian Colonies, Fiume, San Marino and Vatican. There is considerable duplication especially in the stock books. We note many full sets and singles in good condition cataloging up to about $400 (mainly hinged), also blocks, souvenir sheets, part sets, and more. The Italian States catalog a few thousand dollars and are in the usual somewhat mixed condition, averaging 3½ margins. The later material is in much better shape with relatively few faults, averaging Fine or F.-V.F. There is a section of San Marino Zeppelin covers probably worth a few hundred dollars. Much wheat and some chaff here, with considerable value for the patient dealer or collector. A sampling has been imaged. Shipping weight 151 lbs / 68.5 kilos. Scott catalog value easily exceeds $10,000.
