1863, 24¢ Washington, lilac (Scott 78), unusually well centered and beautifully tied by a socked-on-the-nose fancy leaf cancel on an 1868 cover to England, with New York transit cancel on front and a British receiver on the reverse; a lengthy letter is enclosed. Quite attractive, a Very Fine stamp and cancel on a Fine to Very Fine cover. Scott $425.
