Japan, 1871-1997, a mint and used collection, neatly mounted on pages and housed in three Palo 5-ring albums with slip cases. 19th century with a showing of hand-engraved issues, Kobans and Chrysanthemums, plus extensive later issues, with strength in commemoratives and modern. The mint stamps are mostly lightly hinged; imaged the first album only as the other two albums are all modern. A lovely collection to build upon. Scott $5,000 ++.
