c. 1870, cover from Massachusetts to Turkey, franked with 15¢ Bank Note (152 - catalogs $350 on cover), the cover traveled via North German Union Mail (which only existed 1868-1871), backstamped German Postal Agency in Constantinople. The lot also contains a 1903 cover from Philadelphia to Constantinople at the regular 5¢ UPU rate, Fine to Very Fine.
